Boston Online Course

Mandatory for all full-time undergraduate students enrolled on the Boston campus for the first time in Fall 2026. 
Family participation is optional and highly encouraged.

Students have several weeks to complete this brief online course. Learn about university resources and services. Topics include academics, residential life, campus safety, health and wellness, and student involvement, among much more.

Course access instructions will be included in the mid-June volume of Husky Happenings.

In addition to the mandatory Boston Orientation, students are also required to complete the Boston Online Course by the deadline of Monday, August 3, 2026.

This 2-hour online course provides essential resources to navigate Northeastern’s Boston campus and your new city! Family participation is optional and highly encouraged.

The Boston Online Course will be available as a continued resource through April 2027. Failure to complete may affect student enrollment status.

Student Course Instructions

  • To access the course, log in to Canvas at Northeastern with your Northeastern credentials. On the Dashboard, select the Fall 2026 Husky 101 Boston Course.
  • Complete this course using your desktop, laptop, or mobile device. This course should not be completed using the Canvas app.
  • Firefox is the preferred web browser. Please enable pop-ups.
  • To save progress, you must fully view an assignment before exiting out of the pop-up window or leaving Canvas. Please do not refresh the page while completing an assignment.
  • Submit the Student Acknowledgement at the end of the course to mark your course record as complete.
